FIT PROTOCOL
THE GOAL WITH AN ELBOW PAD IS TO HAVE A SNUG FIT WITHOUT SACRIFICING MOBIL-ITY. PROPERLY FITTING ELBOW PADS WILL HELP PROTECT ELBOWS DURING GAMEPLAY AND REDUCE THE RISK OF INJURIES.
HERE IS A STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE ON HOW TO PROPERLY FIT AN ELBOW PAD:
1. Selecting the Right Size: Measure the player's Forearm Circumference. Measure the circumference at the widest point of the Forearm. Do not have the players flex but they can hold the weight of their arm up. Select the size that is closest to the middle of the recommended range.
2. Positioning the Pad: Slide the elbow pad onto the arm, making sure the larger protective cap is covering the elbow joint. The strap should be facing the inside of the arm.
Adjusting the Straps: Start by anchoring the main bicep strap, making sure it is not too tight around the bicep in order to allow flexing movement. Then, fasten the middle lock strap to a snug yet comfortable fit, and then finish off with the forearm strap, ensuring it's comfortably snug as well.
4. Check Mobility: Have the player move their arm in various positions, such as bending and extending the elbow along with rotating the arm. The elbow pad should stay in place without restricting any movement. If it feels too tight or too loose, adjust the straps accordingly.
5. Check Overlaps: Ensure there are no gaps or overlaps in the padding that could leave any part of the elbow exposed to potential impacts.
